Since we’re about to say goodbye to 2015, it seemed like the perfect timing to know what next year’s trends will possibly be. Moms are especially excited about what popular baby names 2016 will bring.
The site Baby Centre UK has released their top predictions of hit names for babies for 2016. The list contains both old-fashioned names, names with pop culture references, and trendy names.
They came up with the names without conducting a scientific poll, but they used a scientific method to analyze the results.
The first names on the list were Emi for the girls and Hector for the boys. Emi seems to be in keeping with the parents’ affinity for using nicknames as the first name. Hector is an obviously old-fashioned name derived from the Trojan War hero in “Iliad.”
