These include bath rings, bath seats, and bath oils. Bath rings and seats can prop your baby up in the tub, but they will also put your baby at risk if you leave them unattended. There are also bath oils that use liquid hydrocarbons, which are reportedly contributing factors to irreversible lung damage or even death if the chemical is inhaled into the lungs.
Solution: Don’t ever leave your baby alone in the tub, even for a few seconds. Keep all your bath oils and other bath chemicals in the cabinet out of reach of children. This should apply to all other products in the house with liquid hydrocarbons.
